SILICA IN CONSTRUCTION CLASS
Updated On: Nov 29, 2017

OSHA has issued a new standard to protect workers from exposure to respirable silica. Among requirements of the new standard is that employers are required to train workers on work operations that result in silica exposure and ways to eliminate that exposure. Employers must also designate a competent person to implement the written exposure control plan. Employers were required to comply to the new standard by June 23, 2017.
